There is no problem with 7th Feb. There was a issue with 25th March and the file was replaced on the next day.

1st I would like to know I was started one thread on 1 min / 5 min IEOD data survey But I am not able to locate that thread. could some one let me know PL.

I wanted to write this in that thread

Last few days I am getting 15-20 Min time to import data of IEOD in Amibroker
My PC dual core and 2 gb Ram It is running @ good speed most of time.

I am getting free data for IEOD from following site which is for 1 MIn IEOD But it load in 2-3MIn in Amibroker.

http://cid-d700acc18c0f37e6.office.live.com/documents.aspx

In case of Our (desitrader) data, most time consume in Index data while import. It is quite boring to look at monitor for 20-min. My pc does not allow me to do any other work while importing IEOD data specially.

Please do something

The Index data we provide has a Base Time Interval of 1 Second as opposed to stocks where its higher. Hence the higher time for Import.

At the site you linked, data is combined to a Base Time Interval of a minimum of 1 Minute and hence number of bars decrease dramatically.

Also while our data continues to have data till post close, the other site stops at 3:30.

Another major difference is that we provide for all NSE indices (and hence higher amount of data) as opposed to the other file which provides for only Nifty and Defty.

If you import only stocks, you shall find that the import does happen as fast as the other file.

Dear Prashanth

Thanks for explaining me the technical process while import

But WE use these intraday data at end of the day, Is base interval second useful at the end of the day ?? tick data at real time basis, I can understand

But at the end of day I think minute base data enough. That is why I asked in my earlier post to provide 1 minute data instead of tick data.

need further guidance.....

The ASCII files for March 25th have been corrected by DTM. For Feb 7th you can do as follows:

1)Back up Amibroker data.
2)Import the data into Amibroker.
3)Then go to File>Database Settings. Change Base Time Interval to Tick. Click OK.
4)Right-click on any open intraday chart. Select Intraday>Tick.
5)In the chart, click and select the price for the time 09:55:00 on Feb 7.
6)Go to Edit>Delete Session. The entry at 09:55:00 on Feb 7 will be deleted for all intraday stocks.
7)Save the database.
8)Go to File>Database Settings. Change Base Time Interval to whatever it had been earlier. Click OK.

In Step 2, import IEOD data for Feb 7. If you have already imported it then ignore Step 2.

Is it possible to upload ieod data file in 2 folder (& later zipped one file)

1) 1 min base period for stock and another
2) 1 sec base period for index .

it will help to import only stock data in software and those interested in Index sec. base period data can import that too.

as discuss earlier it will reduce time considerably for those interested in Stock like mine.

None of our data products are automatically created. For each quite a bit of work - Validation and Testing is required before we make available the same to the subscribers. Max work required by IEOD since vendor provided data is in different format which cannot be used for import. Already takes us enough time every day to make it suitable for Import and add to it, recent cases of wrong info has meant that we have to validate the data for any inconsistencies too.

Honestly data procurement is expensive. If you were to look at other IEOD providers, they charge on a monthly basis for IEOD, what we charge for the entire set for 6 months (True Data India / ManshiRT, etc).

Providing 2 separate files just means more work without any direct benefit in terms of subscription or otherwise and hence I apologize to say that we will not be able to implement the same.

Honestly you should see the kind of IEOD file disbursed by Global Data Feeds. It just sends a single file which contains IEOD data for ALL Stock Futures / ALL Index Futures / ALL Stock Options / ALL Index Options and is so lengthly that its not possible to open in earlier editions of Excel.

Thanks Prashanth

I always appreciate your attitude and approach while explaining anything...

But can you help me to understand how the 1sec base data is giving superior analysis than 1 min base data, that is at the END OF THE DAY.

It will update my knowledge, I have issue with time of import ? and not with data. now days it takes almost 25-30 min to import data.
