Yes Girish. Somewhere down the line, they seem to have changed the name too. I shall try and seek out details of Name Changes and if I can find it, will post it here.

Dear Prashanth,
I have a query regarding this Corporate action -
"Issue of Bonus shares in the ratio of 2 (two) new Equity shares for every 5 (five) existing equity shares of the Company."
For most splits/ratios, my splitter automatically shows the correct ratio when I enter the effective dates, but not for Dolphin :(.
I tried both "5 for 2" and "2 for 5", and the price doesn't seem to be correct.
Can you please help ??
Thanks in advance.

Ah, with a little help from another friend of mine, finally I got it working.
Entered 7 for 5 - as in - You'll end-up with 7 shares if you had 5. It worked !! :)

While you may have achieved a smoother curve, theoretically, 2: 5 does not equal 5:7 (or viceversa). :)
Problem such as these happen (it did not in BSE, it happened in NSE only) when we have a difference in either pre-bonus / split day high or the open and low and the ex-date.
Easier option during those times is to edit the price to ensure that the split reflects the correct picture.

To ensure that I have the correct pricing, post the bonus - here are the OHLC data for the last few days -
1) 29-Jun-2009 -> 205.00, 206.50, 198.55, 206.65
2) 26-Jun-2009 -> 197.85, 204.64, 193.03, 196.85
3) 25-Jun-2009 -> 197.85, 208.21, 195.00, 197.10
4) 24-Jun-2009 -> 199.25, 200.71, 185.71, 198.92
Hope this is the correct data that one should have.
Thanks in advance.

Girish,
Do not worry so much yaar :). As long as your chart is smooth, its good enough. I think above is BSE Data. On BSE, it seems it was frozen at 5% and hence above data tallies with it.
In NSE, Open Price is lower. To get the correct split ratio, just modify Open Price of 26th with 205 instead of 196. Modifying split ratio other than what AB provides can result in bulges. Hence, only price has to modified if there was a spike, else accept whatever it says :D

Friends,
Can anyone of please share the split ratio of ITC in 2005 ? I know the question is probably irrelevant in today's context but let's just say it's my obsession to keep my data clean :)
Thanks a ton in advance.

BSE does not seem to provide Historical Corporate Action data unlike NSE. It has some data (of recent times) here
