I had trasferred all the shares to my new dmate account and after i stopped to use old account. as they first told me to start my account from march and than when i instructed them to close my account they insisted me to pay the AMC and than they will close the account. I did not pay and stopped using that account from my side.
Now 3 years has been passed ...i am not paying AMC as well as not using the old account any more but till date they had not stopped my demate account. What are the possible consequences of this. Can they miss use my account ?
please guide me......

As far as I know, they shall keep mailing first bills, then a couple of notices to pay up. If there is no reply, they write it off as NPA. No one has the time and patience to haul every investor for payment of a few hundred rupees.

Its always safer to pay off and close the account than leave the account for self closure. AMC charges are payable only if its a year from the payment (bill generation date) of last AMC. Else, they cannot ask for additional payments
