Dear DTM Mod team,
I have a request regarding the EOD data - the packaging structure and file naming conventions that are currently followed.
So, here goes --> I request you to NOT change the packaging of the EOD data file and file structure. Currently, the Equity EOD file comes with the filename - "securities_eod_SEOD20111226.zip". Also, the files are compressed into this without any folders inside them.
Please keep it the same way. I'm sure it helps the regular users and also helps automate some of the tasks related to converting from ZIP file to a readable format.
I use scripts to extract files from zip and also, copy them to folders - which make my life easier. If you change the format (without prior information), I need to keep changing the scripts as well.
It's not a big deal for me to change the scripts, but I'd really appreciate if you don't the change the file naming convention and packaging structure.
Appreciate if you can look into this.
